<p>CROSSREACH:<br />
Copies of the prayer booklet from CrossReach are available in the Church vestibule.  Please pick up a copy soon.  They are very useful for private devotions.  CrossReach is the Social Care Foundation of the Church of Scotland.</p>
<p>CHRISTIAN UNITY SERVICE:<br />
Organised by PACT to mark the Annual Week of Prayer for Christian Unity, this is being held in St. Charles&#8217; Catholic Church (Union Street) on Sunday 22nd January at 3pm.  All welcome.</p>
<p>TRINITY MAGAZINE:<br />
All contributions for inclusion in the next issue of Trinity Magazine should be in as soon as possible, by by Sunday 29th at the latest.  The magazine will be available from mid February.  Remember to include advance notice of any events between mid February and the end of May.  Also, let us know of any ideas for items/features you would like to see in future issues of Trinity and we will see what we can do.  Items should be given to Sheila Miller (smiller14@btinternet.com) or Lynn Ferguson (lynn.ferguson@ntlworld.com) or Catriona in the Church office.</p>
<p>USED STAMP COLLECTION:<br />
The stamp collection will continue until end of January 2012.</p>
<p>DYNAMIC WORSHIP DAY:<br />
Saturday 4th February &#8211; 10am-4pm.  Clydebank United Reformed Church.  An event for anyone in West Link Churches Group interested in exploring different types of worship.  Workshops will cover prayer, music, community, storytelling, drama, multimedia, etc.   Soup, tea and coffee will be provided.  Please bring your own sandwiches. The speaker is Gus McKay from Lodging House Mission, a Christian organisation providing help for people in need. <p>The Kirk Session has agreed that the Sunday Car patrol will be discontinued<br />
with immediate effect, due to the lack of any incidents. Fingers crossed.</p>
<h3 id="largeprintbibles">LARGE PRINT BIBLES</h3>
<p>A small number of large print New International Bibles have been boughts. If<br />
you need one please pick it up from the Vestibule and return it when you leave.</p>
<h3 id="eightoclockclub">EIGHT O&#8217;CLOCK CLUB</h3>
<p>Our grateful thanks to the members and friends who participated in our raffle for<br />
a Christmas hamper. The sum raised was £230 and the winner was Ellen Hay.</p>
<h3 id="appeal">APPEAL</h3>
<p>Help is required to take down the Christmas decorations on Wednesday 4th<br />
January at 7pm.</p>
<h3 id="christmasgoods">CHRISTMAS GOODS</h3>
<p>There are still a small number of goods from the Christmas Fayre and these<br />
will be available in the hall after the service. We also have a Christmas doll<br />
donated and shall be taking bids in a silent auction.</p>

<p>TRINITY MAGAZINE:</p>

<p>PEW BIBLE FUND:</p>
<p>The Kirk Session have agreed that the pew Bibles need to be replaced due to almost 30 years of<br />
usage and also the New English Bile is no longer being published.  Donations have been received<br />
which will pay for new Lectern and Pulpit Bibles and start contributing to the replacement of the<br />
pew Bibles.  There is, however, a shortfall of around £600 which needs to be raised.  WILL YOU<br />
DONATE &#8211; one Bible, two Bibles, or even five Bibles at say £10 to help fund the shortfall?  Please<br />
consider if you can help.  Contributions should be given to the Church Treasurer (Alan Milton) or<br />
the Session Clerk (Bob Copleton).  Cheques should be made payable to &#8220;Oakshaw Trinity Church &#8211; pew<br />
Bibles&#8221;.   THANK YOU FOR GIVING THIS CONSIDERATION.</p>
<p>CHRISTMAS FAYRE &#8211; 19th November</p>
<p>This week we are asking for contributions to the <em>Absolutely New </em>stall, which is being<br />
organised by the fundraising committee.  We need items in their original packaging which could be<br />
unwanted gifts, unused gifts, soft goods, household items, toys or other goods which have not been<br />
used.</p>
<p>You may also decide to buy something and donate it to the stall.  If you intend to contribute,<br />
please complete the forms in the foyer and pass them to Margaret Kelly or talk to Margaret,<br />
Joyce Allen, Alison Harper or Alex Smith to let them know of your intentions.</p>

<p>Our first Saturday outing is on the 14th May 2011 to Inchmahome Priory on the Lake of Menteith. Please meet in the church grounds no later than 9.00 a.m. Comfortable and supportive footwear is recommended. A packed lunch is probably a good idea. All welcome.</p>
<p><strong>GUILD: </strong>Our annual outing takes place on <strong>Tuesday 17th May</strong>.  Please note the coach will depart from <strong>Bridge Street at 9.30am</strong> travelling to Peebles: returning to Paisley approx 8.30pm.</p>
<p><strong>EIGHT O’CLOCK CLUB</strong>: Our outing is on 30th May when we are going to Brisbane House Hotel, Largs for Dinner. There are a few seats still available on the bus. Cost is £22.00. Please let Lillian Hogg know if you are interested.</p>

<p>Please remember that the URC Synod day is to be held in Perth on 18th June. We are not arranging transport as most people wish to use their own transport. <p>AMEC meets on 11th May—a good attendance of the members is desired.</p>

<p><strong>BOYS’ BRIGADE</strong>: The annual Review of the 14th Paisley company will take place on Friday 6th May in the Wynd Centre from 6.45 p.m. to 9.15 p.m. This year the Annual Review will take the form of an open night allowing guests to explore a sample of the weekly activities in all three sections. The Annual Review will also incorporate the End of Session Service, which will begin at 7.30 p.m. in the Main Hall of the Wynd Centre. A tea bar will be open during the course of the night. All members of the Congregation are invited to attend.</p>
<p><strong>EIGHT O’CLOCK CLUB</strong>: Our outing is on 30th May when we are going to Brisbane House Hotel, Largs for Dinner. There are a few seats still available on the bus. Cost is £22.00. Please let Lillian Hogg know if you are interested.</p>
<p><strong>OAKSHAW EXPLORERS</strong>: Our next Sunday afternoon outing is on the 8th May, 2011 to the Glasgow Necropolis Heritage Trail. Bring a packed lunch which can be eaten in the large hall prior to our departure. We leave shortly after 1.00 p.m. Comfortable and supportive footwear is recommended. All welcome</p>

<p><strong>WATATO CHILDREN’S CHOIR FROM UGANDA</strong> are holding a concert on 4th May at 7.30 in St. Andrew’s Parish Church Port Glasgow. The organisation provides holistic care for orphans, vulnerable children &amp; women in Uganda including those affected by HIV/AIDS.</p>

<p><strong>DUNOON HOLIDAY</strong>: Next Saturday 45 senior members of the congregation are off to Dunoon for their annual holiday. The coach leaves Seedhill Road alongside Eastend Park at 12 noon and will proceed to Dunoon via the Lodge on Loch Lomond where afternoon tea will be served. On return the following Saturday the coach will travel via the Clyde Ferry and will arrive at Seedhill Road around 12 noon. We shall be delighted to see any visitors from the congregation during our stay at the Hotel. Our days outing on Tuesday, however, should be remembered. A.M.</p>

<p><strong>VOUCHERS</strong>: The Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are collecting Sainsbury’s Active Kids Vouchers. If anyone interested in collecting vouchers these can be left in the kitchen of the Church or given to any member of the organisation. Thank you.</p>
